Madeline O’Connor

Teacher

After starting my dance training at 3 years of age, I performed in eisteddfod solos, duos and troupes from age 5-16, winning multiple first, second and third place awards.

I am trained and competed in all styles of dance including jazz, hip hop, funk, tap, classical ballet, lyrical, contemporary, gymnastics, up to level 3 of cheerleading and tumbling. I have completed up to level 6 of Glenn Wood Tap Syllabus and multiple levels of Royal Academy Of Dance Ballet Syllabus.

I started at United Dance as an Intermediate/Teen dancer and slowly moved into the teaching role under the guidance and mentorship of Madeleine Price, starting as an assistant teacher and then gaining my own classes as an experienced dance, cheer and tumbling teacher.

I have completed  my bachelor of education secondary teaching for PDHPE as well as an extra study on childhood nutrition for my extensions study at Newcastle University. I have also completed my Module 1 (level 1-6) Acrobatic Arts Certification.

I have completed a range of certificate training including anaphylaxis, WWCC, child protection training and First Aid Certificate.

In my spare time I love shopping, hanging with my friends and going to the gym. At the moment, my favourite foods consist of  Tim tams as well as rice cakes, avo, tomato and chicken. I can’t go a day without my favourite coffee and spending time with my puppies!
