DanceStep Student Teacher Education Program
United Dance is a proud affiliated studio of the DanceStep Student Teacher Education Program and is offered to enrolled students who wish to become future leaders inside and outside of the dance industry.
Available for students aged 12 years or older
6 level progressive program. Usually 1 year = 1 level. Fast track available.
Each level includes education on the following modules and themes:
- Anatomy
- Nutrition
- Safe dance practices
- Stretching, warm and cool down
- Accountability
- Receiving and giving feedback
- Types of learners
- Difference between a bossiness and leadership
- How to adjust your teaching style
- Preparing for performances
- Time management
- Organisation
- Roles and responsibilities of an assistant teacher
- Dance terminology
- And more!
Each level requires a minimum of 10 hours of practical assistant teaching that take part at BOTH of our Maitland and Raymond Terrace studios
Theory lessons are scheduled once a month for students to dive deep into the modules to them be implemented in class.
Initial registration for level 1 starts at $180pp and every level afterwards is $99pp.
