Senior Program (15 Years +)

We have many classes available for your child aged 15 years or older.

Our Senior Program will not only give your child the opportunity to excel in their confidence, dance abilities and performance levels, their overall life skills will be enhanced preparing them for a joyful journey into early adulthood.

This age group tends to need an outlet from their stressful and busy lifestyles and keeping active in a nurturing and loving environment is the best way to keep your child focused, inspired and physically and socially active!

Ballet

Fridays 5:45-6:30pm

Enjoyment, grace and elegance is rich within our ballet classes and you will enjoy the unique teaching style of our teachers.

United Dance follows the Australian Teachers Of Dancing (ATOD) syllabus, which is designed to engage students in learning the foundation to all other dance styles along with the correct technique to improve musicality, strength and rhythm.

Students who take ballet classes build self-control, body awareness and self discipline as they learn to master increasingly technical moves.

Showcase costumes total $80 for 1x ballet costume

Tap

Wednesdays 5-5:30pm (Level 5)

Our tap classes are noisy, enjoyable and inspiring!

Students are taught this genre under the guidance of the ‘Glenn Wood Tap’ Syllabus which is designed and also followed by the famous ‘Tap Dogs’! Dancers join the wonderful, rustic and hard hitting street style of tap, where banging your feet on the ground and making as much noise as you can is accepted!

Jazz And Hip Hop Combo Class

Wednesdays 5:30-6:30pm

Modern and dynamic, hip hop and jazz are certainly addictive.

These powerful, high-energy dance styles rely on a punchy beat and a little bit of sass!

Enjoy our unique takes on hip hop and jazz by learning the foundations of these styles in one class.

Showcase costumes total $160 for 1x jazz costume and 1x hip hop costume

Lyrical And Contemporary Combo Class

Wednesdays 6:30-7:15pm

When you participate in contemporary and lyrical combo classes at United Dance you will be dancing the basic foundations of ballet combined with our modern edge. Students are taught and encouraged to use their musicality, imagination, creativity, dynamics and emotions in class.

Young dancers also learn the correct technique to improve your grace, style, strength and flexibility to perform kicks, leaps, tricks and turns. We encourage all of our students to ‘let go’ in class to enjoy a wonderful feeling of freedom.

Showcase costumes total $160 for 1x lyrical costume and 1x contemporary costume

Tumbling & Acro

Mondays 6:45-7:30pm Level 1 to 3
Fridays 4:30-5:15pm Level 1
Fridays 5-5:45pm Level 2 and 3

Our Acro & Tumble classes are designed for students aged 3 years and older who are interested in gaining more strength and flexibility to be able to perform acrobatic and tumbling tricks and skills. United Dance is a certified Acrobatic Arts studio with qualified and experienced Acrobatic Arts teachers. Acrobatic Arts is a world wide known curriculum in developing versatile acrobats with a high focus on safety and progression readiness. All of our Acro & Tumble classes consist of mandatory strength and conditioning to assure the safety and readiness for our students to perform these skills. Students who enrol in this new program need to be aware of the strength and conditioning component of the class, as this type of exercise is based on level of strength and flexibility. It is a stepping stone program, meaning we will not teach your child to perform skills they are not ready for, this is why the strength and flexibility component are so important.

Our NEW Extension acro class is for students to work on harder skills as an add on to their normal recreational acro class. This class is invitational only and is based on student assessment and progression.

Senior Surprise Program

Class day and times are released as 6 week blocks throughout the year

Our new Senior Surprise Class is designed for students aged 16 years and older who would like to experience a casual workshop style of class with guest teachers and different genres of dance taught each week. Genres include traditional jazz, commercial jazz, heels, tap, classical ballet, barre, lyrical, contemporary, all star hip hop, commercial hip hop, burlesque and so much more!

This short term class is perfect for ex dancers or senior students (16yrs to adults) who would love to get back into dance, get fit and continue to do what you love in a non judgmental and positive environment!

This program is a 6 week block and runs once to 4 times per year!

We are now taking interest for this class!

Classes start from $22 per week. There are no showcase or performance commitments.
